In my third year I had a merchandise brief. I chose to base it around the TV show ‘Stranger Things’, and was inspired by Pop! Vinyl’s. I put my own spin on it by putting ‘eggos’ (her main accessory) as her eyes, and making the box out of laser-cut wood instead of vacuum packed plastic.
These are pencil drawings of the character ‘Eleven’, from the Netflix TV series, ‘Stranger Things’. I studied this character for my university brief, and as part of it I did a study of her clothing throughout the first season.
This is the final image of my figurine sculpt. Once the primer was dry, I used acrylic paints to add colour to the sculpt – according to how the character looked in the TV show.
For the second brief of my third year at university, I was asked to create a piece of merchandise. I chose to base my merchandise on the Netflix TV series, ‘Stranger Things’. I wanted to make a figurine in a box. Everything was made entirely from scratch.
This is an image of the box finalised. Each side was cut using a lasercutter. The text on the back wall was cut, and the front text engraved, again using a lasercutter. The lid is on a hinge so you are able to replace the battery packs.
